A new boy!
I finally just had to get Seth's hair cut. It was so long and hot I'm sure, I just couldn't stand it anymore. So after a trip to Great Clips, my boy's hair is much shorter and manageable.
The zoo, updated pictures
One day we went to the zoo as a whole family, something that does not happen very often. It was a very busy day there but we managed to see quite a bit of stuff anyway. We wanted to go on the train ride since Seth loves trains right now. It is a short ride, but you do see quite a variety of things when on the train. We managed to get a free ride because of our membership, so that was a good deal!
Seth and mom, he was exicted for the ride to begin.
We also had Seth sit on the covered wagon that was being pulled by bulls. He wasn't so sure of that.
Waiting for the train ride to begin. Seth looks quite sleepy here.

We saw an elephant show to end the morning and the trainers were bathing the elephants. Seth LOVES elephants right now, so he was in his heaven. Also didn't hurt at all that him and dad got a front row spot to see it all. That was great! It was a hot morning but we had fun as a family, we really need to do this more often.

Mother's Day 2010 at the playground
It was a beautiful day on mother's day this year. After Seth's nap, we all went to the park to play. Seth has decided he likes to walk by himself instead of riding in the stroller, so he walked to the park, we had to carry him home, he was quite the tired boy.
Climbing on the rocks is just about as much fun as the play equipment!
Walking over the bridge...

and going down the slide. So happy!!
Seth did not want to sit still to take a picture with mom. Somehow we convinced him.
Tired boy on the way home. Snuggling is very nice when you are getting a ride home!!
Fun with cushions
We had to buy new seat cushions for our outdoor patio furniture this year. Seth had a great time playing with them and having dad build forts out of them. He loved it!
I could sleep here, dad!!

Trying to muscle the cushions into place. It is a hard job for a little boy, the cushions are so much longer than he is!!

In this one, we built a tunnel with the help of the couch. That one was especially fun!!

Raking leaves
I had to rake some leaves today that had accumulated over the past few months. Seth had a great time helping me, and he gave some pretty neat smiles too for the pictures I got to take.

Trains
Seth is turning into quite the boy. He is all into trains lately. We have received quite a few from our friends who are done with them. Seth loves Thomas the Tank Engine and will also play with other train cars. We have a set of tracks for him, but he usually just takes them apart when we set those up. Seth and I went to a train show a few weeks ago and I managed to take some pictures. Hopefully you can see them OK.

Below, Seth had to look at that train b/c he was just the right height to see it. It went round and round on a longer track. He just loved seeing all those trains!!

I am glad we went, Seth had a good time. Wonder if he dreamed of trains that night??

Opening Christmas presents
We had quite a few presents under our tree this year, we don't know how they all got there. So, on Christmas morning, we let Seth open them all while breakfast was baking in the oven.

I was glad Christmas presents were done so I could put away the tree. Seth COULD NOT leave it alone, so I was glad to get rid of it from his little fingers.
