The "chariot"

This weekend we made strides in our exercising efforts. Both of our bikes were trash so we donated them to a guy who will refurbish them and give them away to needy people. So, we were on the hunt for both a new bike for me as well as a bike trailer (chariot, coined by Jason) for Seth. We went to thrift stores on Friday night for a totally different purpose and they had trailers there and we bought one. Today, we got a bike for me. I took Seth on his first chariot ride and he seemed to like it -- all except for the helmet which he does NOT like. He will need to get used to it.
The helmet is a little big on Seth yet, which is probably why he doesn't really like it, he can't see as well as normal.
I hope to get many miles out of that bike and trailer. It takes a few more muscles when you are pulling a 20+ pound kid and trailer, but I'm sure I will build up to that too. This is my favorite way to exercise and I am excited to use the bike lots this summer.

What a cutie!!!!

Grass and playing outside

Seth hasn't liked the feel of grass on his legs much until recently. This week because it was so warm out I put him on a blanket outside on the grass. He was really intrigued by the grass and leaves out there. He had a good time and actually didn't eat it!
Here Seth was waaayyy more interested in the grass than anything else!
I gave him some graham crackers, so he was eating those.

Crazy pictures

Seth was acting kind of crazy the other day. He was rolling around on the floor which is not something he does regularly. I also had him in a new outfit I wanted pictures of. He has the best fun just playing with his blanket, and pulling all of them off his shelves in his room.

Feet

Since the weather is getting warmer, I have been able to dress Seth in shorts and tee shirts more. I love his feet and so decided to just get some pictures of those for the blog. Here goes...
I just think babies' toes are the cutest things!

Mother's day

What a blessing it is to be a mother! I am feeling kind of spoiled. Jason (and Seth) got me a corsage this year, it was an orchid! Soooo pretty, I had to take some pictures with my boy before church yesterday. It was a good day even though the weather was crummy.

Seth is really chewing on his hands recently b/c he is teething, so I had to hold them down for the picture to turn out OK. He did pretty good!

My Boy!!

It was a great Mother's Day again this year and I hope for many more to come in the future.

More eating pictures

Seth continues to eat more and more table foods. He loves fruit, most any kind, and will also eat some vegies. He loves crackers and bread with jam and peanut butter.

Seth has also taken a liking to craning his head all the way back to see someone who is behind him. He did this when Jason was back there the other day and we got a picture of it. Doesn't seem to bother Seth that his head is in a totally weird position.

Visit with G&G Soodsma

The Soodsma grandparents came over the weekend and Seth had a good time playing with them. He always loves extra attention (what kid doesn't?). I think they wore him out though, he has slept pretty well during the day the last couple days.

Seth also liked sitting on laps a bunch over the weekend. Now I think he may be working on more teeth because he has another fever. Time will tell.
