Seth had quite a difficult time yesterday afternoon and evening. He was out of sorts and dad tried to get him to lighten up a little. I think it worked because Seth was really getting "into it" with dad.

Seth and dad
Playing with Grandpa
Seth liked playing with Grandpa on the floor with a toy they had. Seth had never seen the toy, but was game to try it and see what it was all about. Here, Grandpa is "helping" Seth play with this different toy.

I'm not too sure about this, grandpa, but if you say so....
Home again and happy about it!
Yesterday, Seth was in just a really good mood when we were getting ready to leave for church. He was sitting on Jason's lap so nicely and just cooing and smiling I had to get some pictures. We are glad we have such a happy guy and hope he stays that way!!
This seems to be Seth's "pose". He loves to chew on his fingers and we can't usually prevent that in pictures recently. It may become his signature pose.
Donuts are great playthings!

Seth got a new toy from Grandma S that we opened the other day too. He did not have anything like this, so it was good he got it for Christmas. It was one of those stackable donut things that has the stand that comes with it. Seth liked playing with the stand quite a bit, but the donuts seem to be just the right size for him right now to chew on, so he likes those too.

New bath toys
Seth got some really cool stackable cups from the Moses family that we just had to use in the tub. While at grandma's house we did just that, he had so much fun with those cups. He seems amazed that they can let some water out (because there are different designs on each that let water out much like a strainer) and that can make a waterfall effect on his legs, arms, etc. He had a good time playing with those cups. I'm sure we'll get good use out of them in the future too!

These are pretty cool, and I can hang on to them too! Bath time should be more exciting now for sure!
Cool Christmas wrapping paper!
Well, this Christmas was much different than others we've had in the past years. Seth "opened" his presents with a little help from us, but he was way more interested in the paper than the present. We opened some of his presents at grandpa and grandma's house in IA. It was great fun!

Seth with pink eye
A couple weeks ago, I noticed late in the afternoon that Seth's eyes were starting to look quite goopy. I took him out to church that evening for Family Night meal, but then quickly took him back home. Others noticed that his eyes were not looking all that great either. After a quick trip to the Dr. the next morning it was determined that he did have pink eye and we got drops to put in his eyes. I had to take some pictures to show just how bad his eyes looked and how different that made him look. He didn't seem too bothered by it and slept pretty well even during the worst couple days. Within a day the drops took effect and the goopyness cleared up.
He still smiled and was a pretty happy guy during all this. His eyes were sooo pink though.
Thankfully neither Jason nor I seemed to get it for which we are thankful. Hopefully Seth won't get this again, ever.

Laundry, anyone??
Well, Jason babysat for a couple hours last night so I could get out of the house after spending the whole day inside because it was too cold to take Seth out. While Jason did some work, he put Seth in one of our laundry baskets. Seth thought it was the coolest thing ever. I guess he got really excited about being in a new place that was just his size. Here are a couple pictures.

This is pretty cool, dad! I can make noise by hitting the side of the basket. Who needs toys when we have laundry baskets anyway???

Christmas pictures
We recently took some candid Christmas pictures in our home. Our neighbor Joe was more than glad to help us do this. Some turned out better than others. I am sharing some here.

Seth has taken to a new habit lately of putting his fingers in his mouth almost constantly. I think it's because he may be working on teeth.

This was kind of a crazy picture. We did have fun posing for the shots, and Seth was at least in a good mood!!

Thanksgiving pictures
We had Jason's parents and brothers come over for Thanksgiving this year. We certainly have a lot to be thankful for this year especially. Here are some pictures of our time together.

Uncle Steve put Seth in the basket that his toys go in. I don't know why I never thought of that! It was a very cute picture, and Seth fits nicely in there right now.

There is Uncle Steve with Seth. Pretty cool!

Now, I know this one does not have any other people in it, but I love these overalls and if I don't get a picture soon he won't fit in them anymore.
