I am sitting, mom!

Well, Seth sat by himself for the longest time today. I put pillows around him so if he did go off to one side he wouldn't hurt himself. But, he didn't end up needing them. This was during quite a frustrating day, so I am glad I got some pictures of it.
I coaxed a smile out of him on this one. But, I may have had to tickle his toes to get one :)

Weekend in Omaha

Last weekend, we went to Omaha to visit the relatives. All of Jason's family (minus Joel's wife and kids) was there, so it was quite the gathering. We had a good time with Sam, Ruth and Ken's 18 mo old son.

The men going for a walk.

Sam, Seth, and Grace, the boys are sitting on grandpa's knees. That is a good place to sit!!

The boys sitting on Jason's knees. Grace again is not far away! Grace loves to babysit the little ones.

Here are Jason's twin brothers with the boys. Grace came from out of nowhere in this picture!

Sam seemed to get into the funniest positions when we were there. Here is one of them. The double stroller worked very nicely to transport both boys.

Penney's Ad, anyone?

This morning Jason was reading the paper with Seth on his lap and Seth wanted to help him "read". So, Jason gave him the Penney's ad to have and this is what he did with it!

We later had to fish some pieces out of his mouth, but all was well, and he was happy for a bit. He loves to crinkle papers up right now, it's one of his favorite things to do. I think he has it down to a science.

New outfit

Well, last night, we had to go buy Seth some new sleepers because he's at the size right now that we don't have enough to last a week. Since I really don't want to do his laundry more than once a week, I decided to just break down and get some new sleepers. Well, we found the cutest ones at Target (after we had scoured two thrift shops and didn't find much) that had dinosaurs on them. The pictures show what it looks like as we had Seth wear it last night. But, it was soooo cute this morning when I got him out of bed, he was just looking intently at the sleeper as if to say, "What is this?? It's pretty cool!" I think the colors especially got him because he doesn't have anything else this color in his wardrobe. Anyway, it was pretty special to see him looking at it so intently, and the most important thing is it keeps him warm at night!

Pretty cool animals

Well, I forgot to post these pictures. When we were seeing Aspens last weekend, we were on the way back and saw quite a few cars stopped. Well, there were 6 mountain goats just standing there alongside the road on some rocks. I had NEVER seen mtn goats in all my mountain adventures (and I've had quite a few), so I was really excited. The one in the front seems to just be posing for the picture. Very cool!!
