Pretty mums

Last year, we tried our hand at splitting up our mums because they were getting too big for the space they were in. Well, we did not know this would work so well. The mums have just taken off in the space we put them. You would never know we had transplanted them just last year. We are enjoying them, they are in their prime right now.

The gold rush in Colorado

Yesterday, we took in what is called the "gold rush of Colorado" by going up into the mountains to see the Aspens change color. We went down 285 until Grant, then took a pretty small road in the country north all the way to Georgetown on I-70. Part of this road was gravel, some parts were washboarded pretty bad, but we made it OK. We were very impressed with all the color up there!! It was very pretty. We're wondering why we never took this route before, there were lots of trees to see, with a large variety of light green, gold, yellow, and red.
Seth is very cute with his floppy hat. It was perfect for this occasion. I think he enjoyed being outside for awhile. He didn't make much of a peep the whole time we were away, except to get excited.

Smiley

Seth has taken to a "new" smile lately. He'll stick out his tongue a little bit and smile at the same time. He then makes all sorts of noises while doing this. Such a happy baby!! I enjoyed taking some pictures while he was in one of his "modes" of smiling at pretty much everything.

This one also shows his pretty eyes. Everyone comments on them.

Seth likes sitting on dad's lap. They were having a good time watching the Broncos game again today.

Tummy time.

Seth has not until very recently liked being put on his tummy for any significant amount of time. But, lately he has been content to stay on his tummy for longer periods of time.

Today was one of those times, he was really having a good time playing with his toys on his tummy. I even coaxed a small smile out of him in one of the pictures.

First Broncos game with daddy.

Sunday was Seth's first time to watch the Broncos with his dad. Jason likes the hometown team, mom, not so much. But, the point was that they could watch it together for the first time (of hopefully many more times). So, I had to get a couple pictures to mark the event. I don't think Seth really watched that much, but it was the thought that counted.

What's up??

Seth has really gotten more comfortable in his high chair. He used to hate sitting in it, but I think it is better now. These pictures show just how used to it he has gotten. He just seems to be saying, what's the big deal?? This is a good place to sit temporarily.

Bring it on, mom. I'm ready for more food!

Can I destruct this a minute?

Seth has recently taken to really playing (destructing) the little toy that is above his swing. There are a couple stuffed animals on there that he can swat at. He regularly swats one of them off!! Here are the pictures as proof.

Let me just take this apart a minute... Notice the left side is not as the right side, it is off of the frame of the swing. That took Seth maybe two seconds to do. My boy is getting too smart for his britches!

Here Seth is showing what he does the majority of his day, chew on things!! I think he is starting to teeth, at least the beginning stages, because he chews on everything!!

My baby's got blue eyes...

Some of the outfits Seth has really show off his pretty blue eyes, I have pictures of one such outfit. Also, Jason happened to be holding him at the time, and Jason's eyes and Seth's look so alike, I had to get them both in one picture. So, here you go.
